    Whitcombe's New Zealand Pocket Diary (1942) belonging to 66044 Gunner Victor William Benjamin, B Troop, 27 Battery, 5 Field Regiment, NZ Artillery, 2NZEF. Bulk of entries cover a period from 11 May 1942 to 10 July 1942 (pages 131-191), several days before Benjamin was mortally wounded in action in the Western Desert. Entries are also noted on pages 20-26, 34-37, 370 and 382. Inside cover pocket contains a newspaper death notice for Margaret Sutcliffe.
