    10/2411 Private Sydney Parnell Chapman served with the Samoan Expeditionary Force and later B Company, 5th Battalion, Wellington Infantry Regiment, 1NZEF, during the First World War. He was killed in action at Gallipoli on 8 August 1915, aged 22.
