Positive transparency made by a panchromatic emulsion process of additive colour using dyed starch grains to act as primary colours (red, blue and green).
Attributed to St. John-Biggs as a known maker of autochrome plates in this period and mention in library correspondence, 25/02/1980.

St. John-Biggs was an avid colour photographer who produced autochrome plates in 1908 when he was a member of the Society of Colour Photography in Great Britain.
