Inscription on verso reads: "24/8/17 4. This is a view of our excellent Y.M.C.A. It shows only a small part of the building and does not show the very fine concert hall at the opposite end to that shown here. We have two or three concerts every week, some of them first class. The boys generally seem to know when there is something good on, and the hall is packed. The N.Z. War Contingent Association also have a very fine hut about the same size as this one." [sic]
