      Photographer accredited as Sherlock, W. (Christchurch)

      Arthur Walton was a clerk with Mobil Oil Co. His second wife, Claudia Dumphy visited him many times from Christchurch before they married. Arthur was said to be very romantic, and the couple had a secret code to express their affection. The captions on the original prints record Arthur's reminiscences

      A selection of prints have been copied and are classified at various Auckland locations in the print files..
