    This group of negatives (A2148-A2174) were donated by Griffiths' son, and most are thought to have been taken by A.T. Griffiths in the 1930s. Several seem to be too early for him to have taken them, but were in his collection.

    Re-grading of Lake Rd Hill by the Wilson Home and the consequent lowering the 12 cast iron watermain to provide a better grade for the subsequent layering rails for the steam trains. The 12th main supplied water from Devonport Pumping Station, Lake Pupuke to Mt Victoria. We date this work would be done is about 1908.
