    Missing cover, pages 1-2 (first leaf). AWMM copy belonged to Private Leddra Le Gallais and was presented at the outbreak of World War One. Le Gallais was killed in action in Gallipoli on 23 July, 1915. Dedication on p.3. "To the Most High and Mighty Prince James, by the Grace of God, King of Great Britain, France, and Ireland, Defender of the Faith, &c." - places time of publication c.1603-1625. Without O.T. Apocrypha. Likely King James Version (KJV). AWMM copy: bound in black leather with "Holy Bible" and "Oxford" in gold in spine. Gold edges, black endpapers. Text printed in double column, verse form, single rule down centre of page. Verse nos. indented in matching type. Title and chapter no. centred at top of page with running heads. Chapter summaries in italics. 16mo. Signature: A-Hh 16.
