Pages 1-622 (Old Testament), pages 625-928 (New Testament). Includes indexes. AWMM copy: Full leather binding, five raised bands on spine, marbled endpapers. Frontispiece of Old Testament is torn. Inscribed on title page verso: Francis & Elizabeth Simpson.

    Verso of contents page and first frontispiece features hand-written genealogical table of Gill and Simpson families, beginning with John Gill (died 1851). Includes loose page featuring hand-written poem, and two small portrait photographs of a woman (Elizabeth Simpson?)- held in envelope.
