In 1906, various missionary organizations again were allowed to establish schools."--thtp://www.nationsencyclopedia.com/Asia-and-Oceania/Tonga-EDUCATION.html#ixzz4WG8yLvzI

The King ordered all Tongans to join the new church; those who refused were beaten by their chiefs and despoiled of their possessions..."--Australian Dictionary of Biography
