New Zealand troopship magazine. [F:\Serials_electronic\Troopship\Na-poo OCR.pdf View a searchable pdf copy] As transport no. 97 the "Tahiti" carried the 31st Reinforcements to the United Kingdom in November 1917. However, it seems that this magazine was published aboard the "Tahiti" as transport no. 149 (not as transport no. 97 as the subtitle claims) which carried a returning draft back to New Zealand in March 1918, departing the United Kingdom 1 February 1918. O.C.

Troops was Major Wray and Ship's Master F.P. Evans. The Turnbull Library holds another transport journal by the name of "Napoo" which was published as a record of the home-coming of 700 demobilized diggers by the "S.S. Rimutaka", which left Plymouth, April 5th, 1919, and arrived at Wellington, May 27th 1919. Editor: Lieut. Walker.
