As transport no. 57, the "Tahiti" (together with the "Maunganui" no. 56) carried the 14th Reinforcements, departing New Zealand 26 June 1916 and arriving Devonport, England, 22 August 1916. O.C. Troops was Capt. Hubbard and Ship's Master F.P. Evans.
