      New Zealand troopship magazine. Housed in NZ troopship magazine box 1. Inscription on title page of copy 1: "To Aunt Julie, with love from Aubrey, Equator 9/8/16" Inscription on cover of copy 1: "With love from Rfln R.A. Fernandez, 24 Platoon F. Coy." Copy 2 from the L.D. Milne manuscript papers (MS 1669) has inscription on cover: "Qtr.M. Srgt. A.H. Norman" "The unofficial record of the following units of the Fourteenth Reinforcements on board the "Maunganui," troopship 56. Capt. Alexander Maurice MacDiarmid, O.C. Troops, "Maunganui." Lieut. Dudley Sedman Chisholm, Ship's Adjutant, "Maunganui." New Zealand Field Artillery, 14th Infantry Reinforcements, B,D,E,F & J Companies, N.Z. Tunnelling Corps, 2nd Reinforcements, 14th Specialists Company, 14th Divisional Signallers, N.Z. Medical Corps." (Title page) This information conflicts with that contained in section of journal which lists nominal roll of troops. There, the O.C. Troops is listed as Major Felix Ballard Brown, of the Canterbury Infantry Battalion.(Studholme's "Record of personal services during the war" also lists O.C. Troops as Major Brown). "Maunganui" left Wellington on 26 June 1916 and arrived Devonport, England, on 22 August 1916.
