    Med tall upright and open tree, ca. 14m. DBH 28.5 cm. Bark creamy-white, peeling in large, thin, horizontal strips with golden underside. Leaves mid-green, broadly ovate, serrate margins, matt surface, paler underneath. 2-3 leaves/axil. Alt. branching. Younger branches dark brown with light lenticels. Catkins. Habitat: poplar avenue. Aspect: sunny, sheltered flatland. Specimen over two sheets (A & B). Ex Eastwoodhill Arboretum Sep 2018
