Cultivated at Riverwood Gardens [now called Riverwood Rhododendrons]. Young trees 5-6m high (specimens from several trees), all fro mthe same seed source. Bark fibrous, light brown and flaking in long strips. Young shoots and petioles dark red. Leaves dark green, shining. Flowers white. Dup ex. CHR. Specimen over two sheets (A & B)
