  • Description

Sisi. Skirt. This sisi is part of a dance attire set worn by males performing the tauoluga (type of dance). It is worn wrapped around the waist. This sisi is made from brightly dyed fau (hibiscus) fibres that have been wrapped and woven in different techniques. The waistband is made from three ply plaited fau and it has large fau rosettes attached along its length.
