Field Collection Notes
Flowers whitish-cream inside aging to yellow, and
burgandy on the outside, highly scented; stems also
burgandy coloured; leaves tinted purple - obvious
from a distance. Naturalised along road verge for
50m and covering blackberry hedge and climbing up
adjacent kahikatea and lemonwood. Appears to have
displaced or pre-empted adjacent L. japonica.
