      Hind dune amongst Ammophila, Gazania ?linearis,
      Lagurus, Freesia refracta. Growing in clumps;
      flowers uniformly orange-red, same as AK 240470? but
      flowering much earlier. Several clumps, probably
      planted some years ago and clumps now expanding.
      Remote from nearest housing. Tepals 25mm long,
      anthers nearly black 12mm long, filaments 42mm long;
      flowers held more or less erect; corm 55mm across
      Specimen over 2 sheets (AK 240713-14)
