Field Collection Notes
Growing on sand dunes, near exotic pine forest;
east-north-east facing beach. Low, spreading habit,
creeping rhizome, well rooted. Yellow flowers,
darkened upon drying (orange). Stems and leaves
extensively covered with hairs (non-glandular). Not
previously noted growing wild in NZ before.
