      Margin of sphagnum bog, beneath open mountain beech
      forest, in damp ground. Short sward, forming
      patches c.1 m across, culms mostly 15 cm, rarely 30
      cm long. Leaves 2.5-3 mm across, double-folded.
      Stigmas 3. Spikes 5-6 mm diameter. Growing
      alongside Carex solandri? (P N Johnson 1295 -
