      Abundant. Leaves exceptionally broad for this species - matches Kirk's Q. elliptica. Regarded by many as a mere variant of Q. serrata - whilst possibly true this collection is typical of all Quintinia seen on Great Barrier Island. Assoc. spp. Halocarpus kirkii, Metrosideros umbellata, Agathis australis, Lepidothamnus intermedius, Epacris paucifolia var. sinclairii, Phyllocladus toatoa.
