    Te mwae teimoone. Shell currency. This long strand of te moni (shell currency) consists of small pieces of white nouo (conus shells) and nana (dark brown coconut shells) which have been ground into small disks, drilled at their centre, and strung in an alternating monochrome pattern on a length of brown te kora (coconut sennit), tied off at each end.
