    Growing intermixed with Grammitis ciliata (AK289891 & AK289892), difficult to differentiate in the field. Population of Grammitis around 260 plants in approximately 2000m2 area of kauri hard beech forest. Plants were all terrestrial with mosses at bases of beech or kauri or on steep east facing slopes amongst roots, in 6 broad areas on the steep slopes of the ridge to the west and east. Found epiphytic only once on a fallen rotting log amongst mosses.
