Growing on very dry, north facing granite cliffs and along margins of steep river gorge. Shrubs with lignotubers, branches up to 2 x 1 m, leaves bright green, rather finely linear lanceolate to elliptic-lanceolate, when crushed smelling faintly of lemon. Stamens numerous, arranged [8-12 ap - 5,6 as] x 5pe, stigma miniscule. Forming dense thickets under sparse Eucalyptus alba forest. Treated as an unnamed species in the flora of Victoria. However, considered by H.R. Toelken to be a hybrid between K. peduncularis and K. phylicoides, whose ranges overlap within this area.
