      Large cultivayed tree c.80cm dbh, c.18m tall; fine lawn specimen just below main drive. Male catkins all over lawn - anthers red. New leaves reddish and shoots sticky; still leaving out. Same tree as AK289858. Specimen over 2 sheets: catkins and water shoot 1m up trunk (AK294409); & canopy leaves (AK294410). Shoots from one of the roots this species, but from N side P. yannanensis (AK294411) - a grafted tree? Photos taken 5 Apr 2005
