    Common. Growing in dry soil through open wooden boards of rental building entrance vernadah. Like the majority of New Zealand specimens plants hairy along stems petioles and leaf undersides and margins but not on the upper leaf surface - like the majority of Norfolk Island specimens I have seen. Taproot present (but impossible to extract from between floor boards). Stipules densely hairy acute to narrowly tapered acute. Foliage glaucous when fresh.
