avalanche rubble; among weedy species; very common. Habit: upright, bushy herb; close rows of reddish leaves, glossy; stem dark purple; pubescence decurrent from petioles; flowers white, ~7mm long; sepals half as long; many capsules per stem at apex, orange-red..
