    Locally common, in sand dune turf, in damp hollow, near edge of water. Tightly mixed together: Isolepis basilaris, Callitriche petriei, Crassula sinclairii, Limosella lineata, Lilaeopsis novae-zelandiae, Myriophyllum propinquum. Associated with: Leptinella potentillina, Rorripa palustris, Epilobium billardierianum, Triglochin striata, Rumex neglecta, Samolous repens, Junucus bufonius, J. articulatus, Pseudognaphalium luteoalbum, Myriophyllum triphyllum & Ranunculus glabrifolius. Fruiting
