At least 10, probably more, of these plants in separate parts of the same area (start of flood plain at base of a gully) having arrived separately, not being extensions of the same plant / rhizome. Growing in an alluvial deposit of eroded Waitemata sediment and may have washed down as small rhizomes onto the floodplain area from a private bush area further up the gully. Looks very much like the start of a naturalised infestation. Dark rhizomes attached to tuber >1m long (photo). Collection from a single plant (leaves, tuber & rhizome, over 3 sheets (AK302116-18)
