    Very common. Purple-coloured liverwort, in basalt/andesite bluffs often near seepages with other bryophytes & lichens. Assoc. with Anagallis arevensis s.s. Hebe obtusata, Cotyledon orbiculata, Poa anceps, Sporobolus, Lotus pedunculatus, rengarenga, Plantago spp., Dactylis & a single Agapantus marked for removal
