    Bush, ca 4 m high. Bark mauve, glossy, knobbly like kava. Leaves green, glossy top, light green under. Flowers pale yellow-green. Local name: na oioi ara. Fruit: none. Local significance: stems used to poison fish when bubulu (this taken at [?place name] and planted here as [?pretty] (bec. red); other oioi in [?] used for bubulu. Info Vekui [?] 15.12.75.
