    Next to Chatham Island ribbonwood (Plagianthus regius subsp. chathamicus) the most common canopy tree in this part of the island. Most trees sporting immature fruit, and this was being ravaged by Chatham Islands red-crowned parakeets (Cyanoramphus novaezelandiae chathamensis). Leaf size very variable on this island.
