First noted here in 2013. Following a chance collection of it from Puhinui Creek (see AK360894) on the same day we travelled back to this site to see if it was still present. It was. Plants growing under willows (Salix babylonica, S. fragilis) and privet (Ligustrum sinense) with wandering jew (Tradescantia flumenensis ) in an apparently wild situation (possibly a garden discard though not seen in nearby gardens, possibly also planted by some well intentioned but mis-guided soul). Either way nothing fertile. Plants rhizomatous, widely creeping, rhizomes at soil surface, fronds up to 1 m tall, 1-, 2- 3-pinnate, somewhat fleshy, very brittle, fragrant (with the typical 'athyrioid pong' (think of fresh crushed Cystopteris fragilis).
