    Dense, tiny turf covering an area of 1.5x1.5m at edge of mixed turf and lava steps down to the sea. Smaller specimens from pure colony of open turf; larger plants growing amongst other, taller grasses and weeds in crevices between rocks. RO Gardner pers. comm.: 'A very reduced example'.
