Rocky channel bar, muddy river side ledges and bouldery point bars at various locations along this stretch of the river with rapids. Turf communities were probably once common here but are now swamped with weeds and rank grass. Small form of Hypericum pusillum in sandy mud between boulders, with Glossostigma elatinoides, Crassula ruamahunga. Epilobium spp and many other native and exotic herbs and grasses. Plants found in muddy ledges in weed free areas along pools and on silty mud amongst rocks and boulders in point and channel bars. Rare along this stretch of the river.
