  • Field Collection Notes
In the garden at Mulberry Grove store, the owners are pretty sure it was planted deliberately and mentioned it has been there for a few years. The garden is 7mx1m and the horsetail is sparsely dispersed throughout. The owners also mentioned they that the plant was doing poorly and had not spread from the garden. However, it had spread throughout the garden away from where it was originally planted. The site is exposed to westerly winds and the soil was very compact/clay like (so hopefully the rhizomes have not spread too far underground). "Unbranched stems to 5mm diam., c.22 ridges/stem, double row of tubercles/ridge" EK Cameron, Apr 2018
