    New Zealand, North Island, Gisborne Land District, Eastwoodhill Arboretum, J9, Junction, Douglas Cook Walk and Yunnan Walk

    Med tall tree, ht ca 15m, DBH 67.5cm. Many upright branches from main trunk. Dense foliage. Lower branches horizontal or downward facing at ends, with branchlets curving upwards. Lvs mid-green, glossy, roundly ovate, clustered closely. Underside glossy with golden hairs along main vein.
    Nth facing, sunny position. Sheltered.
    Dawyck Beech.
