    New Zealand, North Island, Gisborne Land District, Eastwoodhill Arboretum, K10, at bottom of Orchard Hill

    Many-stemmed deciduous shrubs, tall cane-like stems weeping at ends. Bark rough and ridged. Leaves roundly elliptic, margins serrulate. 2 or 4 leaves to each axil. Leaves turning orange-red in autumn. Racemes of translucent orange-red berries hanging from leaf clusters. Three large black seeds in berry. Spike, 1-2cm long in leaf axil. Bush 7-8m tall.
    Sheltered, sunny valley. Partially shaded by tall Ash. [Same plant as EWH334B]
