    Spreading stand of bamboo, to height of 7m. Culms dark black-brown at base, changing to orange-brown near tips and small branchlets. Max. diameter 3cm at base, most finer. Leaves thin, mid-green, up to 21.5cm long.
    Steeply sloping hillside. NW facing. Sheltered from South. Partially shaded.
    Black bamboo.
