      Upright tall tree, ht ca 18m, DBH 18cm. Branches horzontal but not widely spreading. Bark vertically ridged. Leaves mid-green, alt, ovate, with serrate margins. Crisp, rough textured leaves. Veins strongy indented on top. Underside paler green, veins protruding.
      Forest situation, canopy tree.
      Wheatley elm.
