  • Field Collection Notes
    = (A. heterophylla var. variegata) Small climber to height of 1m (Plant struggling: v. dry summer). Two stemmed and branching. Wood pale-grey-brown. Leaves 3-lobed, emerging glossy mid-green, then become variegated. Stems swollen at nodes and pink-blushed. Fruit a spherical shiny turquoise blue to indigo berry, 9mm wide, 6mm tall, flattened at the top and bottom.
    Very sunny, hot, dry, sheltered situation.
