    Quercus affinis or acutifolia?
    Conical tree, 15m tall, DBH 45cm. Bark grey, smooth, developing large cracks at base. Lvs glossy dark green above paler and glossy beneath. No fruit, but original tree is said to have inrolled acorn cups.
    Grown as Q. conspersa.
    Wild collecting notes: Berry 8526, north Oaxaca; lvs to 15x5cm, dark green above, paler beneath, glabrous except for axil tufts.
