    New Zealand, North Island, Gisborne Land District, Eastwoodhill Arboretum, C6/7 Bolles Corner behind Prunus cerasifera

    Erect tree with conical crown and spreading, sprawling lower branches. Open canopy. Many branched, twiggy. DBH 54cm, Ht ca 12.5m. Bark mid-brown, splitting into long strips, quite thin, showing rusty-brown wood beneath. Branches crooked. Young wood grey-brown, scaley. Leaves dark green, adpressed onto rounded branchlets. Newer foliage bright green. Several immature grey-green cones present.
    South facing mod slope; open medium tall forest situation. Partly shaded by tall conifers on ridge above.
    Eastern Red Cedar.
