    Tall tree, 12m, 3 trunked (2 upright, one horizontal for 3m then upright). Circumf at base 1.3m. Leaves shiny mid-green upperside, grey-green dull underneath. 3 lobed leaves. Bark light brown peeling off in small strips. Keys biwinged, acutely angled, lime green. Older keys inner edge of wing red-tipped. Opposite branching of leaves and branchlets.
    Sheltered, partially shaded.
    Trident maple. China.
