Field Collection Notes
Sparse tree growing up through other larger trees. Ht ca 9m, DBH 17cm. Upright branching, leaves held flat. Petioles covered thickly with brown hairs. Leaflets 3, ovate, margins serrate to crenulate, dull mid-green upper with sparse hairs, lighter green hairy underside.
Shady forest situation, subcanopy. Sheltered.
Nikko Maple. Japan.
