    New Zealand, [North Island,] Gisborne Land District, Gray's Bush Scenic Reserve, Nth Eastern sector of bush, at perimeter

  • Field Collection Notes
    Small bush, ca 2m high. Many branched with mod-dense foliage. Branching opposite. Wood mid-dark brown, with young branches green at ends, dark black-brown staining at basal end. Leaves soft, thin, shiny mid-green upper, pale green shiny underside. Flowers borne in leaf axils and along stems. Small flower, with 5 pale green petals covered in fine hairs.
    Partly sunny clearing in bush, made by Titoki falling, partially over this bush. Sheltered situation.
    Hangehange.
