    Prunus x wrightii Hort.
    Unhealthy looking tree with 3 main trunks broken at top. Many new shoots. Ht ca 7m. Three main trunks crooked, broken, lichen covered. Blossom mid-pink, single-petalled (5), opening flat to 5cm across, deeper pink blush at base. Numerous upright white stamens, orange-brown anthers. Opening singly on small branchlets. Faintly sweetly scented. Buds deeper pink, calyx purple-brown.
    On South-facing slope of tall forested hill. Subcanopy sp. Semi-shady and afternoon shade.
