    New leaf growth arising from deep red bud scales. Leaves light green with red veining, held upright. Older leaves hang down. Flower clusters held upright at end of branchlets in compound corymb. Flower buds red and green. Flowers small, with 5 white slightly cupped petals opening flat, 0.9cm across. Strong scent, but not sweet.
