    Cultivated.
    Herbaceous perennial, clump-forming, somewhat viscid. Calyx tube ± purple with acute angles. Corolla c.5.5cm long to apex of erect upper lip; limb very irregular, scarlet with dull purple patches at base of lobes; upper lop c.2.2cm long, strongly revolute; lower lip with lateral lobes strongly reflexed; middle lobe c.1.8cm long, spreading outwards; all 3 lower lip lobes emarginate.
