    A few 1.5 m clumps at roadside amongst ornamental plantings. 10-15 m behind them (from road) thickets 1-2.5 m high on dumped rubbish. Stems fleshy, 2-3 cm diameter, green, jointed, swollen at joints (which are former leaf bases). Suckering leaves floppy, velvety in texture. Spathes slender, white, erect, 12-15 cm long. Specimen over 2 sheets A & B
