Locally common on mine tailings in old asbestos (serpentine) mine site. Plants usually under kahikatoa (Leptospermum scoparium var. scoparium), sometimes in open ground. Growth habit lianoid to sprawling. Foliage pinkish green to orange-yellow. Flowers white.
